SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Families who rely on Upstate Golisano's After Hours Care now have a new place to go when their child is sick at night.
The pediatric walk-in clinic has officially moved from Upstate Community Hospital to the fourth floor of the Nappi Wellness Institute.
The move consolidates various children's services into a single space, including primary care and walk-in care on the same floor. Golisano's Pediatric Emergency Department is also located just across the street.
"We would put kids in an ambulance and send them from Community to the pediatric ED just out of safety," said Upstate's Pediatric Emergency Nursing Director, Michelle Zoanetti. "That's a lot of scary stuff for a child in an ambulance that has never seen that, and here they are having their worst day."
