BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Some North Dakotans may see partial Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November as early as Friday.
North Dakota’s Health and Human Services Department announced that it has recalculated food stamp benefits based on new federal information.
Many recipients will receive only 65% of their benefits at this time, and some people won’t see any money on their EBT cards.
The recalculation only applies to November.
“We know how important these benefits are to families and individuals across North Dakota,” said HHS Commissioner Pat Traynor. “Our team has been working diligently to update systems, recalculate benefits, and ensure households receive their adjusted benefits as quickly as possible.”
