Former NFL superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown was extradited to the U.S. Thursday to face trial on an attempted murder charge tied to a shooting, according to multiple reports.
Authorities in Florida’s Miami-Dade County issued a warrant five months ago for the arrest of the 37-year-old Super Bowl champion for attempted murder with a firearm.
Brown is in custody and has been extradited from Dubai to face trial, per the Miami Herald .
The former Pittsburgh Steelers standout was involved in a May 16 altercation following a celebrity boxing event in his home city of Miami. Video footage of the incident circulated on social media as well as photos of “AB” in handcuffs.
Brown claimed that cops detained him but released him that same night.
