MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man is still recovering weeks after he was beaten by a group of men following a crash in Midtown, his family said.
According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), a man told investigators that he was "jumped" and "repeatedly punched and kicked" by six men after the crash Oct. 18 at Union Avenue and South Idlewild Street. The wreck was reported around 4:40 p.m. that day.
The man told investigators that "he couldn't remember what any of the suspects (were) wearing" but added that he lost his wallet and cell phone during the fight. Police said he suffered "a severe bloody nose and bruises on his face."
The assailants left in a white car, MPD said.
