QUINCY (WGEM) - While some students join the book club, high school student Lance Woolam joined the 4-H.
His work with the 4-H and his church, St. John’s Lutheran Church, have helped feed those struggling in our community.
“It feels really good, because like Stevie, the food pantry organizer, was talking about how a mom didn’t eat one morning because she had to provide for her kids,” Lance said. “And then you kind of feel bad, especially with the EBT is out right now. So, then when people don’t have food to provide for their family, I just feel good helping out.”
Lance does a project about once a year, and is an active member of his church and various parts of the community.
He and others from 4-H made 80 meal kits to be handed out at the church’s weekly food pantry.
Each kit can feed
