An 18-year-old student at the University of Missouri is in the Boone County Jail on charges of burglary and domestic assault.

According to court records, an arrest warrant for Maxwell Warren, a resident of Overland Park, Kansas, was issued on Wednesday morning. He appeared in court that same day to waive the formal reading of charges against him and entered a plea of not guilty to a single charge of first-degree burglary, one charge of first-degree domestic assault, one charge of second-degree domestic assault and one charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.

The burglary and first- and second-degree domestic assault charges are felonies.

An MU spokesperson said Thursday morning that Warren is barred from campus, classes and other university activities.
