Columbia River and Ridgefield moved through to the semifinals with easy first-round wins Thursday at the 2A district volleyball tournament in Tumwater.
Columbia River will face R.A. Long in the semifinals, while Ridgefield will meet Tumwater. Both matches are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tumwater High Schools with the winners advancing to the championship match at 3 p.m.
Columbia River beat Mark Morris 25-21, 25-9, 25-17 in the first round. Sophia Gourley led the Rapids with 14 kills, three digs and five aces. Avery Seley had 20 assists, four digs and three aces.
Ridgefield beat Washougal 25-14, 25-15, 25-21. Paige Hanes had 13 kills, seven digs, two aces and two blocks for the Spudders, while Akyah Stevens had 23 assists and four digs.
