STATEN ISLAND, NY - Veteran Service Officers will be returning to Councilmember Frank Morano’s office to assist Staten Island veterans and their families with filing claims and securing benefits free of charge.
“Too many veterans struggle to cut through the red tape when it comes to accessing the benefits they’ve earned,” said Morano, a Republican who represents the South Shore of Staten Island. “This program will ensure Staten Island veterans and their families have trained advocates by their side every step of the way. It’s one small but important way we can honor their service with action.”
The officers are accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and can help veterans access a wide range of benefits, including health, dependent, education, home loan, and state/local bene
