The dramatic trial of two women found not guilty of stalking Kate and Gerry McCann has offered a tragic insight into the turmoil faced by Madeleine's parents in the 18 years since their daughter went missing.
Julia Wandelt, 24, went on trial alongside co-defendant Karen Spragg at Leicester Crown Court accused of stalking causing serious alarm or distress to Mrs McCann and her husband Gerry between June 2022 and February this year.
