ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Peabody Energy said Friday its headquarters would be moving from downtown St. Louis.

The company currently resides 701 Market St, St. Louis, MO 63101 in a building with the company’s name on it.

Peabody confirmed to First Alert 4, it would be relocating to St. Louis County, to 1245 J.J. Kelley Memorial Drive in Des Peres.

In a statement, the company said “Peabody has been a proud corporate citizen of St. Louis since the 1950s, and we look forward to our ongoing commitment as we continue to host our global headquarters in the area.”

Peabody had been a staple of downtown St. Louis for seven decades.
