Calgary police are continuing their investigation into a credit card theft that resulted in more than $23,500 in fraudulent purchases and are reiterating their calls for the public’s help in identifying two male suspects still at large.

The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, when a man was captured on residential CCTV stealing an unopened piece of mail from the porch of a home on 70 Avenue SW west of Elbow Drive.

The stolen mail contained a newly issued credit card belonging to a Calgary woman.

Investigators believe the suspects used personal information from the stolen mail to activate the card and make unauthorized purchases at multiple Home Depot locations across the city.
