A one-year-old baby girl has died after being hit by a freight train in a horror incident, it has emerged. ‌

The tragic tot was walking along the road in northern New South Wales, Australia on Friday (November 7), when she was clipped by the oncoming train. ‌

Emergency services were called to the scene, arriving to the incident at around 7.50pm locals time as paramedics began treating the baby for serious injuries before she was taken to the hospital, where she would later die. ‌
