CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Due to the uncertainty surrounding Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program(SNAP) funding, several organizations and businesses across the heartland are stepping up to help feed families.
“Spirit Led Kids” is a group of moms operating out of Discover Life Church in Cape Girardeau.
They are working together with Grace Church to make sure families don’t go hungry as SNAP delays continue, or partial benefits are issued .
Volunteers have filled these boxes with rice, beans, pasta, spaghetti sauce, frozen vegetables, bread, and more to provide food for 150 families through a drive-thru food pantry event on Saturday, November 7.
