WATERFORD, Connecticut — Two weeks after General Dynamics Electric Boat acquired the Crystal Mall in Waterford , the Groton-based submarine manufacturer is beginning to plan the mall’s next chapter while also encouraging the community to support local businesses during the transition.

Electric Boat held a listening session Friday with mall tenants, giving them an opportunity to share feedback and discuss ways to sustain their business as property owners prepare for redevelopment. The company says it’s committed to helping tenants and the broader community as plans move forward.
