On Saturday at 12:29 p.m. the National Weather Service released a coastal flood statement valid for Sunday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for Southern Nassau.

The weather service says, "Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline."

"Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline," says the weather service. "Do not drive through flooded roadways."
