NEW YORK (PIX11) – SNAP benefits are expected to be distributed to New York City residents beginning on Sunday, according to Mayor Eric Adams.

Adams made the announcement on X, writing, "Thank you, @GovKathyHochul, for ensuring our families are taken care of and fed. SNAP funds will be dispersed starting tomorrow, but New Yorkers can always access resources to find groceries or meals. We will always take care of each other."

Hochul initially announced on Friday that she directed state agencies to give out full SNAP benefits to New Yorkers.
