A Jefferson County man was sentenced Monday to life without the possibility of parole for the drugging, raping, sodomizing, and sexual torturing of a 9-year-old girl left in his care.

Ronald Shane Crow of Trafford was also sentenced by a Blount County judge to 99 years for sexual abuse of a child under the age of twelve, 365 days for indecent exposure and unlawful imprisonment and 180 days for menacing, according to a news release.

The sentences will run concurrently.

“The crimes committed by Ronald Shane Crow are among the most horrific our community has ever seen,” said Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey in the release.

“Crow’s actions were depraved, and the life without-parole sentence ensures that he will never again harm another child.”
