On Tuesday at 1:32 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until Wednesday at 10 a.m. for Northern Erie.
"Additional snow accumulations 3 to 5 inches in the most persistent lake snows," can be expected according to the weather service. "A brief period of moderate snow will be possible in the Buffalo Metro area and the Northtowns late tonight into early Wednesday morning."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday and Wednesday morning commutes," states the weather service. "Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities."
