HARTFORD, Conn. — November is National Caregiver Month, and the CT Paid Leave Authority is reminding people across the state that paid leave benefits are available to caregivers.

Individuals who provide physical or psychological care or psychological comfort and reassurance for a family member experiencing a serious mental health condition are eligible to receive income replacement.

According to a release from CT Paid Leave, a serious health condition is an illness, injury or impairment or physical or mental condition involving inpatient care or continuing treatment.
