OMAHA, Neb. —
The House passed a bill on Wednesday to end the longest government shutdown in the history of the United States.

President Donald Trump signed the measure to officially end the 43-day shutdown that has affected federal workers, travelers, as well as those receiving SNAP benefits and pantries.
Following the House's vote, Nebraska and Iowa lawmakers released statements.
Congressman Mike Flood celebrated, saying the shutdown is "finally over."
