GUILFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - A Guilford man was arrested last week after a distressed 911 caller reached out for help during a domestic violence incident.
The incident occurred on Nov. 5th at around 8:35 p.m. Police say they received a distressed 911 call that was possibly reporting domestic violence.
“While listening to the call, the police dispatcher was able to work with responding patrol officers to quickly determine the location of the open 911 call,” police said.
When officers arrived on scene, officials say they had to intervene to stop 42-year-old Richard Demond from committing sexual assault.
