WOODSTOCK, Conn. (WFSB) - Woodstock Middle School was placed in lockdown on Thursday afternoon.

The school emphasized that all students and adults were safe.

State police said they were investigating a “suspicious incident” in the area of the school.

School officials asked parents not to come to the school until the lockdown had been lifted.

Student dismissal was expected to be delayed while the investigation took place.

All after school activities were canceled.

There was no further information regarding what happened.
