An update has been issued after schools in Rochdale were 'put on lockdown' and a man was arrested for 'making threats' on Thursday (November 13).

Officers were called out to Wood Street at around 12.10pm following reports of threats being made by a man shouting in the street.

Parents and carers were contacted by at least two schools nearby, informing them their children were being kept indoors throughout the afternoon.
