A person is in police custody after a man had his car stolen in northeast Calgary Sunday night
Charges are pending following a carjacking and dangerous driving spree that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning.
At 1:57 a.m., police responded to reports that a suspect assaulted a man along the 900 block of 32 Avenue N.E., stole the keys to his black Honda CRV, and fled the scene.

Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
The carjacking victim suffered only minor injuries.
A short while later, the stolen vehicle was seen heading into oncoming traffic along the northbound lanes of Crowchild S.W. at high speeds.
While near 17 Avenue S.W., HAWCS located the vehicle and monitored it from a distance.
