INDIANAPOLIS — The community gathered in a walk on Sunday to remember across one of Indianapolis' most dangerous intersections, East Raymond and Shelby streets .

"It needs to change. No one needs to go what our family is going through," Tracy Gillard said.

Last month, a car hit Gillard's husband, Jeffrey, at Shelby and Raymond as he was on his way to work.

Sadly, Jeffrey is not expected to survive and is about to be taken off life support after donating his organs. Gillard says her husband was the loudest in the room. She adds he was the kind of person to give his shirt off his back to a stranger.

"This is a 30 mile an hour street, and I watched them do 40," Gillard said.

Sadly, the Gillards are not the only family who lost a love one here.
