ATLANTA — Georgia Department of Labor Commissioner Bárbara Rivera Holmes announced Monday a new plan aimed at modernizing the agency's operations and improving service delivery to workers and employers across the state.

The initiative, which Rivera Holmes described as a transformation effort, focuses on streamlining internal processes, updating technology systems and improving communication with the public.

"When I stepped into this role, I made listening my top priority," Rivera Holmes said. "During my statewide tour, I've heard from parents waiting weeks for unemployment checks. From small business owners struggling to find skilled workers."
