SAGINAW, MI — Motorists will need to seek detours around Davenport Ave., between Bay and Hemmeter roads, as crews close the path to complete emergency water main repairs, officials said.
Michigan Department of Transportation officials said the closure would span now through Monday, Nov. 24. The roadway spans Saginaw and Saginaw Township .
Officials said detour signs will route Davenport Avenue-westbound motorists along Bay, Shattuck, Hemmeter roads and State Street; eastbound motorists will see detours guiding them along Hemmeter, Shattuck, Bay and State Street.
The water main repairs are underway along a stretch of road already under heavy construction. A state road project has redirected traffic in the area for months.
