KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee made its first trip to Murfreesboro’s Murphy Center since 2009 on Thursday and made up for time away, defeating the Blue Raiders, 85-41.

Thursday’s result ties 1974’s 77-33 final for the largest margin of victory ever against MTSU.

Janiah Barker led Tennessee with her best game as a Lady Volunteer. The UCLA transfer scored 20 points and added 12 rebounds for her first double-double with the program.

The Lady Vols improve to 4-1 and will return to action on Sunday against Coppin State inside Food City Center. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
