KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - Police in Kinston are investigating an early morning shooting at a convenience store.

It happened shortly after 2:00 a.m. at the Circle K on North Herritage Street.

Police say 59-year-old Thomas Watson was shot in the abdomen. He was taken to ECU Health Medical Center for his injuries.

Officers have yet to release any information on who shot Watson.
