WHEN I meet Marti Pellow – pop star, musical theatre idol and (alongside the brilliant comedian Kevin Bridges) one of Clydebank’s most famous sons – he is in a relaxed and happy mood. Why wouldn’t he be?

He’s back on his home turf, conducting interviews in one of Glasgow’s finest hotels to promote his latest venture in musical theatre.

One year from now, the former Wet Wet Wet frontman (and star of many big stage musicals, including Chess and The Witches Of Eastwick) will be preparing for a month-long run of the Leslie Bricusse musical Scrooge at the SEC Armadillo in Glasgow.
