An unresponsive woman was brought to shore by Honolulu Ocean Safety personnel this afternoon after being found face-down in the ocean roughly 50 yards off Kakaako Waterfront Park, near the surf break known as Flies.
An Ocean Safety rescue watercraft operator was deployed at approximately 1:45 p.m., immediately following a 911 call about the situation, and quickly retrieved the woman, bringing her safely to shore, according to a news release. Lifeguards initiated CPR prior to transferring care to a Honolulu Emergency Medical Services ambulance.
An update on her condition was not immediately available.
