DALLAS — Dallas police are investigating a deadly shooting involving an officer that took place early Monday morning downtown, officials say.
According to police, officers were called to the shooting at about 2 a.m. in the 2000 block of Commerce Street.
Police say the shooting involving an officer happened after officers confronted an armed suspect at a disturbance where several people were shot.
The suspect died at the scene, police said. One victim also died at the scene, and several other people were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
No officers were hurt in the shooting, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
