A reckless driver who crashed a £100,000 supercar into a house before it exploded in flames has been jailed. Zachary Hocking, 28, was driving at 91 mph in a 30 mph zone when he lost control of the McLaren 570gt V8.
Hocking admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving and was sentenced to 28 months imprisonment last week at Preston Crown Court. He was also banned from driving for 74 months with an extended test required at the end to get his licence back.
He smashed into a house in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, before an explosion so powerful he and his passenger, a man in his 20s, were thrown 25 metres from the wreckage.
