Swansea City have confirmed Vítor Matos as the club’s new head coach and he will take charge of their clash against Derby County tomorrow night.

Matos has signed a four-year deal with the Championship side who sacked Alan Sheehan following a disappointing start to the campaign earlier this month.

Swansea have had to pay compensation to bring the 37-year-old from Marítimo, where his high-intensity and possession-based style of play was key to his appointment.
