A couple who stole more than £1,100 worth of meat joints and beauty products from shops in Ellesmere Port have been sentenced. Nichola Ions, 36, and Peter Murray, 37, both of Earls Garden, appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on November 13.
Between October 1 and November 12, the pair targeted several stores in the town, including Aldi, Marks & Spencer and Boots. In total, they stole £1,167 worth of goods, leaving the shops with meat joints and beauty items without making any attempt to pay.
The couple were also wanted by North Wales Police in connection with similar offences in Flintshire. Following investigations into the incidents, officers traced and arrested both suspects.
