Doctors at UPMC Lititz in Lancaster County were seeing double recently — four times.

Four sets of twins were delivered in one week at the hospital’s UPMC Magee-Womens unit.

Of the eight newborns, there were three sets of twin boys and one set of twin girls.

Hospital staff delivered 1,328 babies last year and are on track to deliver 1,340 this year. But officials say that delivering four sets of twins in one week at the hospital is rare.
