CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A woman accused of animal cruelty in Harrison County was released on a $5,000 signature bond.
Harrison County law enforcement brought the felony charge against Cassandra Nutter, 33, of Clarksburg, alleging wrongdoing Nov. 15.
Nutter threatened a dog while wielding a knife, law enforcement has alleged.
The personal recognizance bond means Nutter only had to sign to guarantee her appearance.
Nutter has pleaded not guilty and is presumed innocent.
If convicted, Nutter could face one to five years in prison.
