Hit-Run Volvo That Seriously Injured 92-Year-Old Pedestrian Sought By Ventnor Police

Police in Atlantic County are seeking the driver who struck and seriously injured a 92-year-old man and then fled the scene last week.

Ventnor police received multiple 911 calls for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at Ventnor and Newport avenues around 6:15 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, local police said.

Patrols found the 92-year-old Ventnor lying on the ground with serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital. 

Meanwhile, the accused vehicle, a white Volvo SUV, possibly model XC40, fled the scene. Police say the vehicle should have possible front passenger side damage. 

The Ventnor City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating the accused vehicle and its driver. Anyone with information regarding the accused vehicle or this investigation is asked to contact the Ventnor City Police Department at (609)822-2101.
