SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Good evening! Storms are expected to make their way into the ArkLaTex within the next few hours. However, conditions are cooler than expected at the surface, which can mean a lower potential for severe weather as compared to others. For areas around I-20, there is a slightly lower chance for severe weather as compared to areas in the far southern portions of the ArkLaTex, as well as just outside of the region.
The potential for these storms to become severe and produce tornadoes will be the highest from 6pm until around midnight tonight. Damaging winds and large hail will have an increased potential as well. The storms should exit the ArkLaTex by then, and we should all be in the clear. However, the cooler air behind this storm system isn’t expected to flow in rig
