CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Five people were sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to their involvement in the 2024 overdose death of a 36-year-old woman in Cleveland.
A Cuyahoga Grand Jury indicted seven people under Ohio law for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, according to Cleveland Police.
The indictments came from a six-month long investigation related to the overdose death of a 36-year-old woman in 2024, that the Cleveland Police Narcotics Unit headed the investigation.
Police said on July 7th, their Narcotics Unit responded to a call for a dead body in the 4700 block of Broadview Road in Cleveland.
The victim, 36-year-old Stephanie Barath was found dead of a suspected overdose.
