GEORGETOWN, Texas — A Georgetown man was sentenced to life plus 70 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl on multiple occasions.
According to the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office, 29-year-old Javier Garcia was found guilty on Nov. 19 of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact.
The jury sentenced Garcia to life in prison for the aggravated sexual assault charge and 70 years in prison for each of the indecency charges.
The case came to light in 2024 as prosecutors were preparing a separate trial against Garcia for assaulting the victim’s mother, the district attorney said. The mother reported her 9-year-old daughter had reported being sexually abused by Garcia.
