HOLLAND TWP., MI – A 48-year-old Holland man is facing multiple felony charges in connection to a shooting earlier this month that sent another local resident to the hospital .

Andrew Louis Harper was arraigned Monday, Nov. 24, on one count of assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and felony firearm in Ottawa County District Court. According to the county sheriff’s office, he had been identified as a suspect in the Nov. 15 Holland Township shooting and arrested Nov. 21.

Police first responded to the report of gunshots from multiple callers at around 9 p.m. Nov. 15 near a business in the 90 block of Douglas Avenue.

At the time, police said the incident came after an argument ended violently and resulted in the gunshot wounds of a 27-year-old man.
