A 10-year-old in Iowa has become a world champion
KETV first brought you the story of Stetson Thurman back in 2023.
He's been bull riding since he was 4 years old and racking up awards.
The fifth-grade student was crowned champ earlier this month. His father credits Stetson's success to grit and determination, while Stetson makes it seem like he's not even trying.
Since Stetson Thurman was a little kid, he was drawn to bulls.
"He would start crying, and he wouldn't like to watch cartoons. We'd be going through channels and PBR bull riding would be on, and then we'd sit there, and he would just sit there and he'd be quiet," said his dad, Chris Thurman.
Chris coaches him, and together they've won at almost every level — except world champion.
