Sometimes clever ideas take a bit of time to brew and come to fruition.
Last week, during an interview with KETV, the CEO of Omaha's QLI was talking about his mission and how important it is to have hope in his line of work. QLI is a 65-acre campus in Northwest Omaha, where hundreds of staff members help clients through traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord rehabilitation after accidents or health issues.
Nash Mahupete became the CEO almost a year ago, after starting at QLI 25 years ago as a certified nursing assistant. KETV profiled the CEO in a recent story and said he emphasized it's part of the culture of the nonprofit to hire uplifting people to work with their clients. He said it's essential to have a positive outlook.
