A major fire has ripped through a two-storey warehouse and retail space in Southall. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) has declared a 'major incident' after flames took hold and explosions were heard.
The building is believed to store fireworks and gas cylinders . Residents nearby reported hearing 'explosions' and the fire brigade declared the blaze a 'major incident' due to the contents of the building and said that this poses significant safety risks.
Around 150 firefighters using 25 fire engines have been battling the intense blaze. Crews have withdrawn to a safe distance and are now fighting the fire from above using turntable ladders because of the hazards in the buil
