A man found dead at a farm in Nottinghamshire has been named locally as the son of a missing pensioner who is at the centre of a murder investigation.
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed on Monday it had launched a " homicide investigation" after the disappearance of Brian Wright, 82, who was reported missing from his home in Langford, near Newark, on November 20.
Officers were then called to a farm on Saturday, where a 52-year-old man's body was found in an outbuilding, and police said that death is believed to be linked to Mr Wright's disappearance.
The 52-year-old man has now been named locally as Charles Wright, the eldest of Brian's three sons, who lived in the neighbouring village of Winthorpe.
