A man from Wallsend has been given a suspended sentence for possessing £100,000 of illegal tobacco . Alan Peacock, 72, admitted eight offences related to the products seized from his Wallsend home, which also included a number of cigarettes and Viagra pills.
The sentencing , which took place on Friday, November 21, at Newcastle Crown Court , saw Peacock admit to two trademark offences, three offences under the Standardised Packaging of Tobacco Products Regulations, and three labelling offences under the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations.
On July 10 last year, North Tyneside Trading Standards officers executed a warrant at Peacoc
