PINCONNING, MI – He isn’t working there and probably won’t be sleeping there.

But the rest of Mike LeGrow’s hours are likely to be spent at Pinconning High School now that he’s the head football coach of the Spartans.

“They’re going to get somebody they’ll have to kick out of the building sometimes because I want to be there too much,” he said. “It’s what the job requires and what the kids deserve.”

A Freeland product who spent the past two seasons as offensive coordinator at John Glenn, LeGrow takes the helm of a Pinconning football program that is longing for success. The Spartans have posted just two winning seasons in the past 16 years, averaging fewer than two wins a season during that stretch.
