DE SOTO, Ill. (WSIL) -- A boil water order has been issued for several areas due to a water line break, according to De Soto Superintendent of Public Works Danny Vancil on Tuesday afternoon.

Residents of Lexington Street, Williamsburg Drive, Heritage Drive, Cambridge Drive, Candlewood Estates, Butterfly Lane, Sunset Cannons Lane, Samantha Lane, Concord Circle, and the 300 to 700 blocks of North Hickory Street are advised to boil water for at least five minutes before use.

The order will remain in effect until laboratory tests confirm that water quality is fully restored.
