JONESBORO — According to a Nov. 25 press release from the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office, a man was recently found guilty of third-degree vehicular homicide and other charges relating to a 2019 incident.
The DA’s Office said Louis Johns was found guilty of three counts of serious injury by vehicle and reckless driving in addition to the vehicular homicide charge.
Superior Court Judge Aaron Mason presided over the trial, which ended Sept. 24, and he sentenced Johns to 15 year probation with 10 consecutive weekends in the county jail. Mason also ordered Johns to pay restitution, to serve 200 hours of community service, to take a defensive driving course. Johns’ license was also suspended.
